FAQs

Who is the program for?

LaunchLAB AI is designed for tech-savvy founders with at least 2 years of coding experience. It doesn’t need to be professional—whether you’ve studied coding, built projects as a hobby, or worked on side gigs, what matters most is that you can write code when it’s time to build. It’s also open to everyone, whether you’re working, studying, or somewhere in between. Startup or business experience isn’t required - just a strong drive and commitment to see your ideas through.

What’s the format of the program?

The program runs in person every Friday from 2–5 PM for 10 weeks at Bloom Bentley Hub located on Curtin University Campus.

What’s the expected outcome?

By midway through the program, you'll be expected to launch a functional AI product. The goal is to move fast, test your product in the real world, and start gathering feedback. By the end of the 10 weeks, you should have a polished, scalable product and a clear plan for next steps. This will hopefully lead to a sustainable pathway to further develop your startup beyond the conclusion of the program. Even if your idea evolves throughout the program (as many do), you’ll leave with practical experience in building and launching an AI-driven solution - skills you can apply to future ventures, too.

How big is the cohort?

We’re keeping it small and focused, with only 10–15 participants per cohort.

What does it cost?

A spot in LaunchLAB is valued at $4,200, but thanks to our incredible sponsors, your seat is completely free! This opportunity is made possible by Meshpoints, an initiative supported by Lotterywest and Spacecubed, and powered by St Catherine’s College.

Can I participate outside of work hours or on weekends?

Accepted participants get free access to the vibrant coworking space at Bloom Bentley Hub. However, after-hours and weekend access is unfortunately restricted.

What equipment do I need?

Just a laptop—that’s all you need to get started. 🚀
